Leidos Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mobile Radar Mechanical Designer to engineer the ALPS-M sensor platform. You will use SolidWorks and Windchill daily to turn ideas into manufacturable drawings and assemblies, focusing on sheet metal, machined parts, welded structures, and bolted assemblies.

The role requires collaboration in a fast-paced program with strong technical challenges and opportunities to grow within a skilled team; DoD clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Design and Drafting Technology.
• 2+ years of applicable experience.
• Strong SolidWorks experience with drawing per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Basic GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in teams.
• Active DoD security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Structural and enclosure design via SolidWorks; drawings per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5; create technical data packages per MIL-STD-31000.
• Produce technical data packages per MIL-STD-31000.
• Collaborate with mechanical design team to satisfy technical requirements.
