Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Design Engineer to design the ALPS-M product and create mechanical enclosures using SolidWorks and Windchill. You will collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to turn concepts into hardware, verify designs under ASME Y14.100/Y14.5 and MIL-STD-31000, and drive solutions while meeting aggressive schedules.

Applicants should have a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Eng, 4+ years experience (or 2+ with MS), and a DoD security

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited university
• 4+ years of applicable experience or 2+ years with MS degree
• Strong SolidWorks user
• Experience with drawing generation per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5
• GD&T understanding (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Strong attention-to-detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Active DoD security clearance (or eligibility to obtain and maintain clearance)
