Job summary

Payne & Dolan Inc. in Madison, WI is seeking a Portable Aggregate Operator to join our quarry operations.

You will operate loaders, haul trucks, graders, dozers, excavators and other equipment, perform daily inspections, and help maintain a clean, safe work site as you move between quarry locations. This role requires practical experience with heavy machinery, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication with the Foreman and Mine Management.

Responsibilities

• Operate various construction equipment safely and efficiently, including loaders, haul trucks, skid steer loaders, water trucks, graders, man lifts, dozers, and excavators.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
• Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while conducting daily inspections of the plant site.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site, including shoveling and skid steer operation clean up.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs, including labor work, cutting, fabricating, and welding.
• Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
