Job summary

Payne & Dolan Inc., a Walbec Group Company, seeks a Portable Aggregate Operator in the Madison, WI region to support quarry operations across portable sites. You will operate loaders, haul trucks, crushers, and wash-plants, ensure safe handling of materials, perform routine maintenance, and assist in load-out of finished products.

The role requires reliability, good communication, flexibility with hours, and the ability to work in varying weather and dusty conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or GED; preferred.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work varied hours, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to tolerate variable weather conditions and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become a union member; HR can assist as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
• Communicate plant site issues with the foreman and mine management while performing daily inspections of the plant site.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site including shoveling and skid steer cleanup.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs including labor work, cutting, fabricating, and welding.
• Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
