Job summary

West Coast Wound in the Fresno region seeks a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home physical therapy across the service area. The role is a 1099 independent contractor with a guaranteed base pay and per-visit compensation.

You will travel to patients' homes, implement the established plan of care under supervision, educate patients and caregivers, document care, and collaborate with supervising Physical Therapists.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics and rehabilitation principles.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patients' homes to provide PT services under the supervising PT.
• Review and follow the plan of care, goals, precautions and clinical information before treatment.
• Provide skilled PTA interventions per plan of care (exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, fall prevention, etc.).
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, mobility strategies and safety.
• Document daily visits and maintain compliance with regulations and company policies.
