Job summary

West Coast Wound is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home physical therapy across the Antelope Valley region. This 1099 independent contractor role requires travel to patients' homes under a supervising PT, implementing plans of care and educating patients and caregivers on exercises and safety.

The ideal candidate has PTA licensure, strong rehab knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and rehab principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel throughout service area and work independently in patients' homes
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per policy

Responsibilities

• Travel to patients' homes to provide PTA services under supervising PT
• Implement plan of care and perform therapeutic exercises and activities
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
• Monitor patient response and document progress accurately
• Coordinate with supervising PT and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation and records
