Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Pennsylvania is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our onsite team at Health Center at Pocono Creek. The role involves collecting venipunctures at client sites and home draws, registering orders, and ensuring proper specimen handling.

Travel to nursing homes and home draw locations is required in various weather conditions. You will support customers, mentor new staff, and participate in continuous service improvement while maintaining inventory and a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; basic math skills.
• Bilingual ability may be required based on service location.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures at clients and home draw locations with general supervision.
• Travellers to nursing homes and home draw sites for specimen collection.
• Conducts registration, requisitions, and verifies billing information.
• Records specimen procedures and ensures proper storage and transport.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding specimen requirements and testing schedules.
• Maintains inventory and a clean, organized work area.
• Provides on-call and mobile phlebotomy services as required.
• Assists in orientation and mentoring of new staff.
• Reports collection statistics and wait times as required.
