Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to cover Hazleton and surrounding areas. The role involves collecting blood specimens at client locations and home draws, with comprehensive patient registration support and incidental testing duties under supervision.

The position requires travel to nursing homes and home draw sites, maintenance of supplies, and assisting in training new staff. BLS certification and valid driver’s license are required, with compensation commensurate with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Bilingual in Spanish may be required based on service location.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures at HNL clients and home draw locations.
• Collects other specimens and explains proper collection procedures.
• Registers patients and verifies billing information.
• Travels to nursing homes and home draw sites to perform specimen collection.
• Maintains inventory and a clean, organized workspace.
• Provides on-call and mobile services as required.
