Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a licensed phlebotomist to travel to client facilities in Irvine, CA, performing blood draws and specimen handling in accordance with policy. You will identify patients, label samples, and ensure accurate documentation and privacy throughout the process.

Responsibilities include coordinating draw schedules, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with dispatch, lab and courier teams. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required to meet daily driving duties.

Qualifications

• Must have current clinical licensure where required by state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to laboratory work.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and tourniquet use.
• Knowledge of specimen preservation and proper patient preparation.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) in personal vehicle as directed.
• Follow established phlebotomy procedures for blood collection.
• Identify patients accurately before drawing blood.
• Label specimens correctly with requisitions and patient billing info.
• Transport PHI per policy and maintain patient privacy.
• Plan draw schedules prioritizing patient needs.
• Maintain logs and timesheets accurately.
• Collaborate with dispatch, payroll, lab, and courier teams.
• Keep equipment in good working order and report issues promptly.
• Be available during on-duty times and notify dispatch of availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
