Job summary

Trident Care is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to provide clinical pre-analytical laboratory services at client sites, primarily nursing homes, under supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor. You will manage assigned routes safely and timely, following all policies and procedures.

You must maintain patient identification accuracy, collect and label specimens, and deliver them promptly while keeping equipment stocked and communicating with the dispatcher.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver's license with car insurance and a good driving record.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using standard methods.
• Awareness of laboratory operations and specimen handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, as directed.
• Unload phlebotomy tray and collect specimens at patient bedside as ordered by physician.
• Identify patient accurately before specimen collection.
• Label, process, and deliver specimens promptly to the lab.
• Reload equipment and stock necessary supplies for routes.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher and report status and location.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety protocols at all times.
• Keep work area clean and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain time records of hours worked and submit per company policy.
