Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to travel to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to collect specimens and deliver them for testing. You will follow all policies, maintain safety, and ensure accurate patient identification.

You must be licensed where required, drive a reliable vehicle, and uphold universal precautions. This role requires excellent communication and the ability to work independently in a mobile setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations.
• Ability to work in mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and takes to patient’s bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
• Accurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s).
• Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patients.
• Reloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
• Regularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Maintains universal precautions and safety protocols.
• Keeps work area clean and maintains equipment.
• Creates required records per instructions.
