Job summary

Trident Care is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to perform bedside specimen collection across client facilities, primarily nursing homes, under supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor.

Responsibilities include patient identification, accurate specimen collection and labeling, and timely delivery while maintaining safety and sanitation. The role requires licensure, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for on-call evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Current valid state phlebotomy license (if required).
• Current valid state driver's license; car insurance; good driving record; vehicle in good working condition for daily driving.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations.
• Maintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination.
• Excellent communication with pediatric and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) as directed by dispatcher.
• Identify patients before collecting specimens and ensure proper labeling.
• Collect, label, process and deliver specimens to physicians' orders.
• Reload equipment and transport specimens to the lab in a timely manner.
• Maintain records of time worked and shift activities; communicate status to dispatcher.
• Follow all specimen preservation, patient preparation and management procedures.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety policies at all times.
• On-call evenings and weekends as needed; overtime may occur.
