Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to cover Outreach PSCs and home visits. You will perform venipuncture, register patients for testing, and ensure specimens are processed accurately in coordination with processing staff. Travel to patient homes and LTC facilities is required.

You will work under supervision, maintain compliance with safety and clerical protocols, and participate in an on-call rotation to support campus and regional labs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with an accredited phlebotomy program.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of blood collection equipment and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for home draw, LTC, and assisted living facilities.
• Register patients and process test orders in the lab.
• Maintain supply levels and vessel tracking; document hours and mileage.
• Travel to Outreach PSCs and patient homes; participate in on-call rotation.
