Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen handling across Outreach PSC sites, patient homes, and LTC facilities in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts.

You will register patients, order tests, process specimens, and maintain supplies while driving to assignments. The role requires on-call coverage and strict compliance with safety and laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus accredited phlebotomy program with certification.
• Prior phlebotomy experience with venipuncture proficiency preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple patient service centers and home sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws at homebound, LTC and PSC sites.
• Register patients, place test orders, and process specimens promptly.
• Maintain supplies, PPE and on-site laboratory processing as needed.
• Provide coverage across RI and nearby MA and participate in on-call rotations.
• Document hours and mileage; adhere to policies and safety standards.
