American Health Associates is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve Sterling, IL, visiting patient homes, nursing facilities, and assisted living communities to provide quality laboratory services directly to patients.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or equivalent, solid venipuncture skills with elderly patients, a valid driving license with insurance, and the ability to work independently with a flexible schedule. Competitive pay and mileage reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Sterling, IL
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel
