Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve patients in Mount Vernon, IL, visiting homes, nursing facilities, and other healthcare locations. You will perform venipuncture using skilled techniques and ensure accurate labeling, transport, and patient identification.

Excellent patient care and documentation are essential. The role requires phlebotomy certification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of experience, with a focus on elderly patients.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio.
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff.
