Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve Rockford-area patients, visiting homes, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, delivering high-quality lab services to those who cannot travel.

Requires phlebotomy certification preferred and 1 year experience; strong venipuncture with elderly patients; reliable transportation; excellent communication; ability to work independently with flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Rockford, IL
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel
