Job summary

American Health Associates is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist to service patients across the Cleveland/Akron region and surrounding neighborhoods, visiting patient homes and healthcare sites with a focus on elderly care. You will collect specimens via venipuncture, verify patient IDs, and ensure proper labeling and transport.

The role emphasizes independent work, compassionate patient care, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and age 21.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio.
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff.
