Qualifications

• Clear communication with diverse populations (pediatrics, geriatrics).
• Respectful, confidential patient interactions required.
• Current state phlebotomy license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by dispatcher.
• Unload phlebotomy supplies and take to patient bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
• Identify patient before collecting specimen(s).
• Collect, label, process, and deliver specimens obtained from patients.
• Reload equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
• Regularly communicate with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions to prevent infection exposure.
• Maintain required certifications and health/operational requirements.
