Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is seeking a Donor CDL Specialist to perform phlebotomy on whole blood and apheresis products, while delivering exceptional donor service. You will drive the mobile drive vehicle, transport staff safely, and contribute to a collaborative team culture in a dynamic donation environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CDL with air brakes, and 1–3 years of people-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates mobile drive buses with CDL and follows DOT guidelines to transport staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepares collection site and performs setup, including technology systems.
• Performs donor screening and phlebotomy with professionalism and accuracy.
• Provides a consistently positive donor experience through empathetic service and clear communication.
• Supports automation (Alyx and Trima) and assists in recruiting donors for automation.
• Maintains equipment, ensures proper donor identification, and completes required records.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments and adheres to safety and regulatory requirements.
