Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) to provide regional coverage and training across mobile imaging and outpatient centers. The role emphasizes patient care, image quality, and safety while coordinating with physicians and radiology teams.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in Nuclear Medicine, NMTCB or ARRT (N), CPR, and the ability to travel across multiple locations. The position offers full-time employment and opportunities for professional growth within Akumin.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• 3+ years’ Nuclear Medicine experience in high-pressure environments.
• Experience managing relationships with physicians and customers.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and adapt quickly.
• Ability to work at several locations; 90% travel may be required.
• Knowledge of multiple OEMs and vendors (GE, Siemens, Philips).

Responsibilities

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images with patient safety as a priority.
• Pre-screen patients, perform aseptic techniques, and ensure radiation safety documentation.
• Troubleshoots scanners and peripheral equipment; supports sales start-ups as needed.
• Collaborates with ADDs, Radiology Directors, and Radiologists on PET/CT software and protocols.
• Performs Clinical Competencies and evaluations as milestones are met; regional coverage.
