Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a full-time Georgia Optician to join our mobile vision clinic team. You will conduct eye screenings, fit and adjust frames, and help deliver glasses to K–12 students in underserved communities, primarily during school hours in Atlanta.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and strong customer service in a dynamic, educational setting. Ideal candidates hold an Optician Diploma and/or COA/COT/NCLE/ABO certification and are comfortable working with children of

Qualifications

Optician Diploma or Certification preferred.
Must pass background checks and drug test.
Experience with children and diverse groups is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee mobile eye clinic operations and patient flow.
Conduct eye exam pre-tests following professional standards.
Take measurements and fit frames per prescriptions.
Assist with frame selections for proper fit and comfort.
Complete daily reports and documentation on time.
Make follow-up calls to caregivers for feedback and support.
Conduct vision screenings using standard equipment.
Follow Vision To Learn health and safety protocols.
Provide a positive, patient-centered experience for students and families.
Work with students aged 4–18, including those with special needs.
Maintain professionalism and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate compassionately with children, caregivers, school staff, and team members.
