Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a full-time Oregon Optician to join our mobile clinical team. Responsibilities include eye screenings, fitting and dispensing glasses to students in underserved communities, with operations focused during school hours. The position starts in December and offers benefits.

The ideal candidate holds an Optician Diploma with preferred certifications, a valid driver's license, and a patient-focused approach suitable for children. Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Optician diploma with relevant certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience working with children and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned mobile eye clinic operation.
• Take measurements, fit and adjust frames per prescriptions.
• Assist patients with frame selections for proper fit.
• Complete and prepare daily reports and meet deadlines.
• Conduct vision screenings and dispense glasses to students.
• Follow health and safety protocols for Vision To Learn.
