Qualifications

• Minimum two years of scheduling experience in a physician’s office or hospital.
• Medical terminology may be required for some assignments.
• Proficiency with commonly used office software and software used for medical practice management and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule medical appointments across campus coordinating patients, providers, facility resources, referrals, authorizations, and payers.
• Receive and schedule/reschedule appointments, tests, and procedures using EMR and scheduling software.
• Provide patients with appointment details, pre/post-test instructions, and directions; answer questions per guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, facilities, providers, and clinical colleagues to ensure an empathetic patient experience.
