Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and two years scheduling experience in a physician's office or hospital.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with commonly used office software and medical practice management scheduling software.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, facility resources, ancillary staff, records, referrals, authorizations, and payers.
• Receives physician's orders and schedules/reschedules appointments, tests, and procedures using EMR/scheduling software.
• Provides patients with information, pre and post-test instructions, location of appointments and directions.
• Communicates with patients, facilities, providers, and clinical colleagues to ensure an easy, empathetic patient experience across channels.
