Job summary

Colorado School of Mines invites applications for a project staff member to design, deploy, and improve the METAL Mobile Manufacturing unit. The role covers equipment configuration for metal casting, forging, rolling, machining, modeling, metallography, and testing, plus delivering four-day METAL Level 1 Bootcamp trainings across the 11 Western states.

Responsibilities

• Design Mobile Metal Training Unit including equipment procurement and layout
• Deploy Mobile Metal Manufacturing Training: deliver METAL Level 1 Bootcamps across the Western USA; operate equipment; ensure safety
• Safety Systems and Regulatory Compliance: implement safety systems; comply with OSHA and PPE protocols
• Reporting, Data Collection, and Communications: prepare monthly/quarterly reports; track KPIs; maintain equipment inventory
• Project Management & Continuous Improvement: analyze MMM tasks; implement improvements; support sponsor reports
• Other Duties as Assigned: support public communications for MMM project
