Job summary

Colorado School of Mines seeks a staff member to design, deploy, and continuously improve the METAL Mobile Manufacturing unit. You will configure equipment, deliver Level 1 bootcamps across the Western states, and manage safety, reporting, and continuous improvement tasks tied to the IACMI collaboration.

Responsibilities include creating design packages, ensuring OSHA compliance, and coordinating with partners to meet KPIs and deployment timelines through 2026 and beyond.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering with knowledge of metal forming and alloy metallurgy.
• Skills in metallography and mechanical testing.
• Ability to plan, organize, and report progress on project tasks.
• Ability to learn and deliver METAL Level 1 Bootcamp lessons.

Responsibilities

• Identify, procure MMM equipment and configure in 53-foot trailer.
• Deliver METAL Level 1 bootcamps nationwide; safety of equipment.
• Prepare design packages and compliance docs for IACMI and deployment.
• Maintain safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Submit monthly/quarterly reports to IACMI.
