Job summary

State of South Carolina Office of Mental Health seeks a Mental Health Professional I for the Highway to Hope Mobile RV program in Aiken. The role delivers recovery‑oriented counseling and case management from a mobile unit, requires travel between clinics and community settings, and focuses on patient‑centered care.

The position requires a Master's degree and SC licensure eligibility, with willingness to pursue licensure within six months.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
• Liscensure as LPC/LISW-CP/LMFT or licensure eligibility.
• Willingness to pursue licensure in SC within six months of hire.
• Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
• Ability to lift 5 pounds and operate a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery oriented counseling and related behavioral healthcare services in Mobile Unit (RV).
• Deliver services in a patient-centered, recovery-oriented manner with patient input.
• Document care and ensure QA standards and required policies are met.
• Coordinate discharge planning and timely completion of documentation.
• Build relationships with patients and community partners to facilitate linkages to services.
• Participate in meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
