Job summary

The State of South Carolina, Office of Mental Health, ABMHC in Aiken, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Highway to Hope program. You will coordinate stops, schedule events, drive the mobile unit, assist with patient intake, and ensure timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation to support recovery and wellness in the community.

Travel across Aiken and Barnwell Counties is required. You will back up the Engagement Specialist, engage patients, participate in supervision and training, and

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and related work experience; a bachelor's degree may substitute.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and operate a state vehicle.
• Experience with operating RV/Mobile unit and patient care preferred.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Must pass CPR and MAPS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the H2H Program to develop schedule of stops, calendar of events, and marketing guidelines.
• Assist with patient registration, intake, engagement, discharges, and appointment scheduling.
• Provide documentation complying with federal/state requirements (same day 90% of the time).
• Back up Engagement Specialist and re-engage ABMHC patients via calls/letters; document in Avatar.
• Participate in supervision, meetings and required training.
