Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte is seeking a Mobile Medicine Fleet Technician to support medical equipment and supply delivery across Mobile Medicine locations. The role involves routine maintenance of MTF assets, setup and breakdown, and coordinating with vendors for complex repairs.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a preferred CDL-A, and 2+ years in vehicle maintenance, plus BCLS and EVOC certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL-Class A license preferred within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years' vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• Requires American Heart Association BCLS.
• Requires Advocate Health Risk Management Approved Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) annually.
• Requires a valid Driver License; CDL Class B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of MTF including tractor, tractor trailer and generator.
• Assists in set up and break down of MTF and related logistics functions.
• Performs preventative maintenance (electrical, plumbing, general construction and carpentry) for MTF.
• Oversees deployment of vehicle in emergency situations.
• Keeps a record of MTF resources before, during and after deployment.
• Ensures interior vehicle surfaces and environment are cleaned and disinfected between each trip.
• Facilitates and communicates repairs that requires specialized skills through outside vendors.
