Job summary

Community Action Corporation of South Texas is seeking a Mobile Unit Driver & Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe operation, transportation, and readiness of mobile medical units and fleet vehicles. This role performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep assets compliant and ready for daily patient services.

You will transport units to locations, assist with setup, troubleshoot, and support fleet records, registrations, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience operating large vehicles, buses, RVs, or commercial vehicles with a Class B license.
• CDL Class B required and clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) current, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fleet vehicles in compliance with DOT and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure units are clean, fueled, stocked and ready for patient service.
• Transport mobile units to designated locations and assist with setup and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and registrations; maintain records and compliance documents.
• Maintain fleet logs, inspection records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
