Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC seeks a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or long-term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and maintain equipment per policy.

This role emphasizes on-site visits, patient assessments, and timely documentation. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, adherence to HIPAA, and collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based, delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare technician/delivery/field service experience with customer interaction preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean and maintain equipment per policies.
• Process orders and document accurately and timely for patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to support billing.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement and comply with policies.
