Job summary

Horizon Health Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Float Nurse to support multiple clinic locations and provide clinical care.

The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and administering medications as ordered. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited MA or LPN program, hold CMA/RMA or LPN licensure, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while delivering quality patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current unrestricted LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Float between multiple practice locations as assigned.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliations.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and injections in accordance with provider orders and applicable regulations.
• Perform clinical duties including specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and wound care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR system.
• Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and infection control standards.
• Comply with all HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
