Job summary

YMCA Southcoast in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Part-Time Full Plate Project Market Coordinator to organize packing sessions and mobile markets, coordinating volunteers and community partners to enhance food distribution and reduce nutrition insecurity on the Southcoast.

The role involves managing packing, storage, and distribution of fresh, frozen, and dry goods; receiving items from GBFB and partners; loading and transporting with a pallet jack and a 26’ box truck; and assisting with facility

Qualifications

• Experience operating pallet jacks and warehouse equipment.
• Experience driving a 26’ box truck with air brakes.
• Experience working with volunteers is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to mission-oriented work or community service.

Responsibilities

• Organize packing sessions and mobile markets; direct volunteers and coordinate with partners.
• Receive, organize, and inventory food items from GBFB and other sources; transport with pallet jack.
• Load/unload the FPP truck and drive to mobile markets and events as needed.
• Assist with facility, truck, and equipment maintenance and sanitary upkeep.
• Complete paperwork and collect reporting data on deliveries and volunteer hours.
