Job summary

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to coordinate housekeeping and safety, and to maintain and repair mobile equipment and overhead cranes. You’ll support the steel making process and work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Safety is paramount; candidates must uphold policies and housekeeping standards at all times to ensure safe, efficient operations within our NC facility.

Qualifications

• 2 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience or relevant technical degree.
• 2- or 4-year engineering or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts.
• Maintain, repair and improve mobile equipment and overhead cranes at Nucor Steel Hertford County.
• Support overall operation of the steel making process.
