Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mobile Maintenance Mechanic. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts, be part of a crew that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the mobile equipment and overhead cranes at Nucor Steel-Hertford County as well as supporting the overall operation of the steel making process. This position requires working weekends, holidays and scheduled/unscheduled overtime.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience or relevant technical degree
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 or more years of heavy industrial millwright experience
• 2- or 4-year engineering or technical degree
