Nucor Steel Hertford in Cofield, NC is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our team. You will perform maintenance on mobile equipment and overhead cranes, troubleshoot electrical systems, and support the steel making process to keep operations safe and productive.

The role requires flexibility to work holidays and shifts including nights and weekends, with a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
• 3+ years industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve mobile equipment and overhead cranes used in the steel making process.
• Support the overall operation of the steel making process with reliable electrical maintenance.

Basic Job Functions

The role of the Mobile Maintenance Electrician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. The successful candidate will be part of a team that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the mobile equipment and Overhead cranes, as well as supports the overall operation of the steel making process. The successful candidate must be willing to work holidays and shifts which include nights and weekends. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory


• 3+ years industrial electrical maintenance experience


• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field


• Experience maintaining overhead cranes


• Knowledge of Overhead Crane Inspection criteria
