The role of a Nucor Marion Mechanic is to work with the maintenance and operations teams to achieve the safest, most efficient and most cost effective means of operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading all types of production equipment, using their knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmissions, water systems, welding, machining, and pipe fitting, completing process improvement projects, and providing mechanical support to operations. The qualified candidate must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
