Job summary

Diesel Direct Inc in Sparks, NV is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment across field locations. You will travel to remote sites for preventative maintenance, document steps on work orders, and use diagnostic tools and manuals. Must have 3–5 years of experience, own tools, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Welding may be required occasionally. This is a full-time role with competitive hourly pay based on experience and travel

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in Heavy Duty truck applications.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy duty equipment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to use multiple scanning tools for diagnostics.
• Ability to use and interpret technical manuals.
• Ability to work alone.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose Heavy Duty trucks and other equipment.
• Repair and/or replace any defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test equipment once repaired to ensure operation is complete.
• Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs and/or Preventative Maintenance on internal and external trucks.
• Document steps taken throughout the repair process on work orders and list supplies used for the repairs.
• Occasional welding on equipment as needed.
