Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy mobile equipment in Monroe, WA. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on a fast-paced site.

Responsibilities include maintaining maintenance records, completing work orders promptly, and promoting a safe, compliant work environment under union benefit programs.

Qualifications

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson certification or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment efficiently and safely.

Job description

Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy mobile equipment to maximize operational uptime.

Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of heavy-duty equipment.

Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.

Promote a safe work environment by following company policies and established procedures.

What Are We Looking For

Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson certification or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.

Hazardous Materials Endorsement Preferred.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment efficiently and safely.

Strong troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) with clean driving record

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Swing shift, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM, 4 days on.
