Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mobile equipment across our sites. You will perform preventive maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, excavators, and other heavy assets while ensuring accurate service documentation and safe, reliable plant operations.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydraulic and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mobile equipment to maximize operational uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, excavators, and other heavy equipment.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs effectively.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
