Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson for our Monroe, WA maintenance team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy mobile equipment to maximize uptime, perform preventative maintenance, and complete work orders with accuracy.

Role requires CDL and safety-conscious approach; FMCSA drug testing may apply. You will work swing shift, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM, 4 days on, in a safety-focused environment with union benefits.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification in heavy duty mechanics or an equivalent trade.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement preferred.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong troubleshooting across hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
• Able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced shop.

What You'll Be Doing

What Are We Looking For

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson certification or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement Preferred.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) with clean driving record
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
• Swing shift, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM, 4 days on.
