Job summary

West Herr Auto Group in Western New York is seeking a Technology Field Technician to install and service IT hardware across our dealership network. This hands-on role requires frequent travel and on-site support at multiple locations.

You’ll set up workstations, printers, and networking gear, perform builds, assist with moves, and maintain documentation. A valid NY driver's license and physical ability are required; some after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State driver’s license required.
• Position is on-site and not eligible for remote work.
• Lift 50+ pounds, carry up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, reach and climb.
• Occasional evening, weekend, and after-hours work may be required.
• Ability to travel between company locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite IT service requests
• Travel regularly between dealership locations to fulfill hardware and support needs
• Deploy, configure, and install new workstations, peripherals, and technology equipment
• Perform new user hardware setups, including workstation build-out and deskside orientation
• Handle hardware installation, break/fix, including computers, printers, phones, and networking equipment
• Manage hardware transport, asset tracking, and inventory across locations
• Support technology projects including hardware refresh cycles and location buildouts and moves
• Participate in user provisioning and de-provisioning in coordination with the help desk team
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and assets deployed
