Job summary
Nextlink in Texas is seeking a Traveling Field Installation Technician to travel full time across our service area. You will perform customer installations, on-site troubleshooting, and equipment recovery, with two-weeks in each market and two weeks out of market.
Responsibilities include installing equipment, configuring routers, performing site surveys, and updating service records. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, pass safety and background checks, and be comfortable outdoors.
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel full time to multiple states.
- Must pass tower certification training program.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in outdoor environments.
- Desire to learn and work with technology.
- Must pass drug screening and a criminal background check.
- Must be able to use tools to install equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install internet service and equipment at customer locations.
- Perform site surveys and evaluate serviceability.
- Troubleshoot services and restore active connections.
- Configure routers and customer devices for access.
- Travel as required, including overnight stays.
- Update databases with service information.
