Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on site. You will mentor junior technicians and ensure high customer satisfaction through thorough service and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex control system issues, proposing retrofits or upgrades, and coordinating with project teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC
• Tech education or two years’ experience in electronic/mechanical systems
• Ability to install or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment
• Strong communication and writing skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions.
• Provide on-site customer guidance and field proposals for upgrades.
• Mentor technicians and help with safety on site.
• Prepare documentation and drawings as required.
• Coordinate with managers and subcontractors to deliver projects.
