Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an HVAC Building Technician to operate and maintain building systems across assigned properties in Seattle. You will perform routine rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing performance while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, appropriate trade licenses, and familiarity with energy management and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Licenses/permits such as Journeyman/Master Electrician or Refrigeration Certifications may be required; Universal Technician for CFCs depending on market licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements for buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers and VAV systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment and energy management systems.
• Inspect and repair lighting, doors, ceilings, and general fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Respond to emergency situations and comply with safety regulations.
