Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer in Fort Lauderdale to manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure efficient, safe building operation.

Candidates should have 5+ years of related experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a high school diploma or GED. The role involves energy management, safety compliance, and potential on-call duties in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, up to and including chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, control gauges, valves, thermostats, and related systems to maintain comfort and safety.
• Verify field conditions and perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as needed.
• Monitor energy management and optimize system performance.
• Repair doors, ceilings, hand rails, floors and related installations.
• Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, etc.).
• Carry out preventive maintenance per Cushman & Wakefield standards, including filters, coils, belts, bearings, and pump/motor work.
• Replace lamps and signage; ensure clean rooms and clear access to exits.
• Report activities to supervisor and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives; complete required safety trainings.
