Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer in Tampa to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. Responsibilities include rounds, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, EPA Universal Certification, and appropriate trade licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Graduate of an apprentice program or trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment including chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, control gauges, valves, thermostats and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance per Cushman & Wakefield standards; change filters, clean coils, grease bearings, inspect belts and bearings.
• Replace lamps and fixtures, ensure signage and clear egress; perform fire & life safety inspections as directed.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor; comply with codes and safety rules.
