Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensuring comfort, safety, and independence.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, safety, and timely documentation. The position requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, and prior experience in customer service or healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician, military service, or delivery experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Complete documentation timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
