Job summary

Columbus Equipment Company is seeking a Mobile Equipment Technician to service and repair heavy machinery across our Ohio operations. You will perform on-site servicing, diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues, and restore equipment to working order while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience, strong communication skills, and a reliable work ethic to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment or related heavy equipment is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-the-job and classroom training in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to service mobile equipment.
• Uphold safety commitments and customer safety requirements.
• Determine overall condition of machines through inspections and provide maintenance.
• Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Restore equipment to working order through component replacement or repair.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
• Maintain record-keeping, parts ordering/inventory, and basic contract provisions related to warranties.
